Formerly known (or mostly unknown) as Sojourn, Grey Eye Glances (its name derived from an Edgar Allan Poe poem) formed three years ago in Philadelphia and built a sizable East Coast following performing in Borders bookstores. This major label debut should enhance its profile, provided radio programmers get wise to the trio's nimble folk-rock and catchy alternapop. And these tunesmiths have vocal chops. The atmospheric Days to Dust and lively Halfway Back get their zest from guitarist Jennifer Nobel's crystalline voice, bolstered by the fluid harmonies of pianist Dwayne Keith and bassist Eric O'Dell.
